About Us
Saint Joseph School is an independent school teaching a Catholic curriculum.
We operate independent of the Diocese of Green Bay. This means we are financially responsible for our school without assistance from the Green Bay Diocese or any individual parish. We are not bound by Diocesan decisions regarding Catholic Schools.
The students in kindergarten through eighth grade participate in a weekly morning Mass at Nativity Church. Students in our four-year-old preschool program attend Mass each week beginning in January. The students and staff join each morning for announcements, Morning Prayer, and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Our small class sizes allow for a greater amount of individualized attention for students. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to be actively involved in St. Joseph School. Through volunteer opportunities, attendance at family committee meetings and on-going communication parents can be active participants in the educational success of their children.
A few reasons that make Saint Joseph School unique include:
We have an After School Program available for students which begins directly after the school day at 2:50 until 5:30 each full day of school. Both breakfast and lunch programs are available throughout the school year. Busing is available for residents of Green Bay, Ashwaubenon, or De Pere.
Athletic opportunities for team sports are available for basketball, tackle football, volleyball, and track. Piano lessons are available during the school day.
Non-Discrimination Policy

A few reasons that make Saint Joseph School unique include:
- We offer an arts integrated curriculum. This means that we weave art throughout the day in core subject areas in addition to having regular art classes each week. This allows us to tap into the creative side of each student's learning.
- We offer a phonetic based approach to reading. By visualizing, seeing, hearing, and saying the symbols for words simultaneously, the student allows both hemispheres of the brain to work together in unison. This approach has shown significant growth in those children who struggle in reading as well as enhance s the reading fluency of strong readers.
- Standardized online testing is completed twice each year for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The results in the areas of Math, Reading, Language and Science are shared with families. Staff members use the information gained through these tests to determine strengths and weaknesses of individual learners as well as individual learning growth. Results of these tests assist staff in the area of curriculum development.
